What is a short code?
A short code is a 5 or 6-digit number that much like a telephone number can be used to address SMS or MMS messages from mobile phones. They are designed to be easier to remember than normal phone numbers and ideal for mobile services, charity donations, television voting and ordering of mobile content. WF use a shared shortcode 52000 for charity donations but any short code could be reserved for your organization if available.

What is a keyword?
A keyword is used in relation with a charity donation running on a given shortcode. A keyword distinguishes your charity from other charities running on the same shortcode. The keyword enables the donors to donate money to your charity. E.g. a fictive NonProfit called Save The Planet would choose the keyword PLANET on shortcode 52000 and thus in order to donate money to this charity you would have to send a text message to 52000 with the text PLANET in the message

Does Mobile Fundraising work on all carriers?
Wireless Factory has established connections to all major carriers in the US and can therefore provide service to almost all 256 million mobile users in US. 

Is it possible to charge more than $5/$10 per transaction?
Initially its only possible to donate $5 and $10 per message. Other amounts will be available later. However, it is possible to send multiple text messages and thereby donating more money. When the limit for single-message donations is raised Wireless Factory will be the first to tell you!

How long does it take for my campaign to be active?
Your first campaign would usually be active within 6 to 10 weeks. The Carriers unfortunately take this long to approve campaign applications. Subsequent campaigns does not need new approval if they are identical to the first one.

Can I track the progress of my donation
Yes, you will receive login information to Web interface allowing you to monitor and track the progress of your charity campaign, including number of donations in specific periods and from what carriers the donation was made from.

How do I promote my campaign?
There are several ways to promote your campaign, Examples are; TV, radio, web, billboards, newspapers, e-magazines, banners, posters, direct marketing, and press releases.
